About Me
Built by a dentist.
Designed for athletes.
Endurance athletes are disciplined about taking care of their bodies. We pay attention to training, fueling, hydration, recovery, sleep, and the small details that help us perform better. But as a practicing dentist and cyclist, I started to notice one thing that was almost completely missing from the conversation: our teeth.
Long rides, gels, chews, sports drinks, mouth breathing, and dry-mouth conditions all create a tough environment for the mouth. I was seeing how much effort athletes put into protecting their bodies, yet oral health was still being treated like an afterthought. Most toothpastes were made for the average person — not for someone who spends hours training, fueling, and exposing their teeth to repeated acid challenges.
I didn't want to just accept that endurance athletes were at higher risk for cavities, erosion, sensitivity, and enamel wear. I wanted to build something that actually made sense for how we train.
Athladent came from that idea. Instead of only thinking about what happens during the acid challenge, I wanted to focus on what happens before it — when you have a window to prepare your enamel, strengthen your defenses, and give your teeth the same pre-race attention you give the rest of your body.
As athletes, most of us already take recovery seriously. We think about our muscles, our joints, our nutrition, and our sleep. I believe our teeth deserve that same level of attention.
Athladent began as an idea to meet the demands of endurance sports, and it's grown into something I'm proud to share with athletes who put in the long miles and hard work. We take care of our bodies so they can perform to the max. Our teeth deserve the same.
